07/13/2007Film Fest ticket sales begin'Friends' get week before open to publicTRAVERSE CITY Tickets go on sale Friday, July 13 for Traverse City Film Festival 2007. Members of the Friends of the Traverse City Film Festival get first shot at tickets, with sales to Friends beginning at noon: online at www.traversecityfilmfest.org; at the Main Box Office and Festival Store in Radio Centre, 300 E. Front, next to Crema in downtown Traverse City, where hours are noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Sunday; or by phone at (231) 922-0234. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, July 20. They'll be available for walk-up customers only from noon to 6 p.m., the idea being to give people waiting in line a chance to purchase before online and phone sales begin. Online and phone ticket sales then open at 6 p.m. July 20. Sales continue from noon to 8 p.m. daily. If tickets are still available at the time of the festival, they will be sold at the door of each venue. If a screening is listed as sold out, a standby ticket line will form 30 minutes prior to showtime. All seats to regular movies are $8.50, with the exception of the designated opening ("Once) and closing ("Moliére) night films, which are $25. Open Space movies will be free, as will daily 11 a.m. panels and a children's screening for those attending who are under 18. Opening and closing night parties are ticketed separately at $50 per person. For more information, call the festival office at (231) 392-1134 or log on to www.traversecityfilmfest.org.
