Dr. Kimberly S. Anderson recently joined Dr. Sherry K. Weir's chiropractic practice at 812 W. Front St. in Traverse City.

Prior to moving to northern Michigan she practiced chiropractic in Marysville, Mich.

Anderson is an active member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors and the American Chiropractic Association. She currently is accepting new patients and can be reached at 946-3756.

Dr. Martin Lougen, a physician with Emergency Physicians Medical Group, recently joined Mercy Hospital Grayling as medical director of the Emergency Department.

Former Medical Director Dr. Al Bersted stepped out of the role after 18 years.

He remains the hospital board's chairman of the Quality and Performance Improvement Committee and a hospital board trustee.

The hospital also recently added Dr. Christopher Newton to its Emergency Department staff.

Newton is vice president of client services for EPMG and is based in Ann Arbor where he serves as the assistant medical director for St. Joseph Mercy Hospital's Emergency Department in Ann Arbor.

Newton also will be scheduled for shifts at Mercy Hospital Grayling's Emergency Department.
