Tasty Taco Dip

Terri Timock of Suttons Bay sent along today's recipe.

"This has been a favorite family recipe for 20 years,” she writes. "Whenever I take this to picnics or potlucks, I am always asked for the recipe.

"Even people who don't usually like guacamole dip love this.”

Tasty Taco Dip

• 3-4 ripe avocados
• 8 oz. soft cream cheese
• 16 oz. sour cream
• 1 clove minced garlic
• 1 T. mayonnaise
• 1 T. lime juice
• 1 c. cheddar cheese
• 1 small tomato, chopped
• 1/2 red onion, chopped
• 1 small can sliced black olives

Peel avocados, chop and blend with cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, lime and garlic. Top with remaining ingredients. Serve with tortilla chips.
