Leland offers summer music in park

LELAND — The Leland Chamber of Commerce is presenting Summer Music in Harbor Square each Wednesday this summer.

Starting this Wednesday, music will be presented from 7 to 9:15 p.m. on the lawn between Harbor Square, Leelanau Books and The Tin Soldier.

Dana Hyde and Jonah Powell offer acoustic guitar and fiddle on the bluesy side of folk this Wednesday. They also close out the season on Aug. 22.

Blind Dog Hank with contemporary and traditional blues and old-time rock 'n' roll is on tap for July 4 and 18, along with Aug. 8.

The Doggone Cowboys present old-time music with rock, folk and Motown on July 18 and 25. The jazz sextet of Big Noise will play Aug. 1 and 15.

There is no admission charge, though donations will be accepted.
