KALKASKA — A program on the state and regional economy will be held June 29 at 2 p.m. at the Kalkaska Civic Center.
Charles Ballard, an economist from Michigan State University, will discuss the state's economic history and future and comment on recent legislation impacting the economy. Representatives of the Kalkaska/Traverse City Economic Development Corp. will also discuss new business start-ups and other plans for the region.
The free event is sponsored by the Kalkaska County Board of Commissioners, the MSU Extension office and the regional EDC. More information is available at (231) 331-6365.
