Expansion

• Several new businesses are opening in The Village at Grand Traverse Commons in Traverse City. The businesses open or set to open in the near future will be in Buildings 66, 53 and the Mercato section of Building 50.

Premier Floral Designs, Gallery Fifty and Jeanette Veeder Designs are open in The Mercato. Opening in mid-July is Salone de Capelli, which will be the largest salon in the Traverse City area.

Suttons Bay's landmark Silver Tree Deli will open a second location in the Mercato in late July.

Pleasanton Brick Oven Bakery, located in the old state hospital fire department building, will sell hearth-baked, naturally leavened bread and assorted baked goods.

Left Foot Charlie, a new winery managed by winemaker Bryan Ulbrich, will open within the month in Building 53.

Also opening in July will be Higher Grounds Trading Company's Roastery and Coffee Bar.

Recognition

• Cone Drive Textron in Traverse City recently recognized employees and retirees who have attained 25 years of service.

The Quarter Century Club members represent more than 6,000 years of service with the company. The 217 club members consist of 87 employees and 130 retirees. The employees were recognized during a recent dinner at The Park Place Hotel.
