GLORIA J. BROOKS, 46, of Kingsley, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 14, 1999.
Services are pending with Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley. A full obituary will appear in Saturday's Record-Eagle.
HARRY J. DAHLKE, 91, of Manistee, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, in Stronach Township.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with evening prayers at 8 p.m. today at Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
LARRY RUSSELL GEE, 57, of Wilson Township, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, at his home near East Jordan.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the East Jordan High School gymnasium. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan.
CHARLES DANIEL TRUMAN SIX, 80, of Thompsonville, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, in Florida.
Arrangements are being handled by Sytsema Funeral Home in Muskegon.
JERRIAN VANDELLEN, M.D., 95, of Traverse City, formerly of Ellsworth, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Birchwood Nursing Center in Traverse City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ellsworth Christian Reformed Church. Arrangements by Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth.

Arthur Junior Baldwin
Died December 15, 1999
PESHAWBESTOWN - Arthur Junior Baldwin, 68, of Peshawbestown, died Wednesday at his home.
Born Sept. 20, 1931, in Leelanau County, he was the son of William and Margaret Agnes (Sands) Baldwin. On June 24, 1972, in Peshawbestown, he married the former Catherine C. Harris, who survives.
Arthur served in the U.S. Army in Japan and Korea. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Arthur was a member of Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church and Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
Besides his wife, he is survived by seven stepchildren, George Yannott, Jr., Sandra Sue Yannott, Florine Marie Yannott - all of Suttons Bay, Richard Arnold Yannott-Hart of Grand Rapids; Loi Ellen Chambers of Suttons Bay and Gail Lynn Yannott-Woods of Grand Rapids; a brother, Lavern Scott of Thompsonville; a sister, Mary Zubler of Houston; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a nephew.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday at Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay. Friends may also call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Andrew G. Buvala officiating. Burial will be in Kateri Tekakwitha Cemetery.

Beatrice M. Bobian
Died December 16, 1999
MANISTEE - Beatrice M. Bobian, 81, of Manistee, died Thursday.
Bea was born May 18, 1918, in Plainfield, NJ. She married Artin Bobian on April 21, 1945, in Plainfield. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1989.
She is survived by daughters, Judy (Dennis) Hoxsie of Williamsburg and Jane (Bob) Sievert of Manistee; son, Dr. Richard (Amy) Bobian of Bear Lake; grandchildren, Elise and Michael Bobian of Bear Lake, Libby and Scott Schulz of San Diego and Ali Hoxsie of Los Angeles; a brother, Arthur Eyring of Atlanta; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date.
The family suggests those wishing to remember Bea consider a gift to either Munson Hospice or the Leukemia Society of America.
Arrangements were handled by Johnson Funeral Home of Manistee.
Marie Dennett
Died December 15, 1999
TRAVERSE CITY - Marie Dennett, 91, of Traverse City, died Wednesday.
Born Dec. 28, 1907, in W˜k-aan-zee-en-duin, Netherlands, she was the daughter of William and Maria (De-Beukelarr) Van Galen. In 1929, in Grand Rapids, she married Edward Dennett, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Marie had been a resident of Traverse City for the past 40 years, moving here from Byron Center. She was a member of Pine Grove Church of God and enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
She is survived by two sons, Edward "Bud" (Betty) Dennett of Byron Center and Richard Dennett of Buckley; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carol Whiteford; two brothers; and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Daniel M. Houser
Died December 14, 1999
FRANKFORT - Daniel Matthews Houser, 75, of Frankfort, died peacefully Tuesday at his home on Crystal Lake near Frankfort.
Daniel was born April 2, 1924, in St. Louis, to William Chadbourne and Lucille (Matthews) Houser. In 1949, in Columbia, Mo., he married Marilyn M. Major.
Daniel graduated from St. Louis Country Day School in 1942 and attended the University of Missouri before attending the Navy V-12 programs at both Iowa State and Lawrence Colleges. He graduated top of his class from the U.S. Navy midshipmen's school at Northwestern University and served in the South Pacific on the USS Madison for the duration of World War II. He obtained the rank of lieutenant j.g. USNR and resigned his commission in 1956. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1948 and attended graduate school in business administration there. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and its Golden Owl Club.
Daniel's engineering career began at Olin Mathieson Chemical Corporation in the research and development metals division. He developed and holds the patent for the aluminum roll-bond gliding device. He went on to form Development Associates, Inc., an oil exploration and production company of which he was the president for over ten years. Later he held senior engineering positions at J. Ray McDermott & Company, IIAPCO and Brown & Root, as well as consulting throughout the world for the petroleum industry. His professional memberships included The American Society of Professional Mechanical Engineers, The National Society of Professional Engineers in addition to being a registered professional engineer (ME) in both Louisiana and Texas. As well as St. Louis, Daniel resided in New Orleans, Louisiana, Houston, Texas, England, Indonesia, India, Monaco and Italy. He was a mason and active in the National Chapter of the American Red Cross, the National Republican Party, the University of Missouri and Phi Gamma Delta Alumni Associations.
He is survived by three children, Melissa Houser Cash of Fort Collins, Colo., Daniel Major Houser and Andrew Colfax Houser - both of Houston; and six granddaughters. In 1994 he married Charlene B. Seabury of Chicago and Frankfort, Mich. at her home in Vero Beach, Fla. She survives him along with three stepchildren and six stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; his parents; and only brother, Richard C. Houser.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at The Church of St. Michael and St. George located at Wydown Blvd. and Ellenwood Ave in Clayton, Mo. Interment will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery immediately following the memorial service. An additional memorial service is planned in Michigan at a later date.

Russel H. Lee
Died December 16, 1999
WILLIAMSBURG - Russel H. Lee, 94, of Williamsburg, died Thursday at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Russel was born Oct. 28, 1905, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. In 1938, in Detroit, he married the former Kathryn Larrew.
After graduating from University of Michigan School of Architecture, Russel was an architect for several firms in Detroit, moving to Elk Rapids in 1968. He then worked for Graheck, Bell and Kline, retiring in the mid 1970's. He continued to practice his architecture into the 1980's. Russel was a member emeritus of the American Institute of Architects since 1976. He enjoyed working around his home and sports, and was an avid U of M fan. He also enjoyed living in Northern Michigan. Everyone who knew him knew him as an extremely honorable man who focused on perfection.
He is survived by a daughter, Martha (Arthur) Snyder of Elk Rapids; son, Richard H. (Loretta) Lee of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Hazel Lounds, Doris Sannes and Frances Holt; and one granddaughter, Heather (Matt) Rossing of Redford Township. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Betty (Dick) Ford of Arizona, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, in 1982; his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elk Rapids Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Daniel Herlein officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elk Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.

Donald George Richardson
Died December 15,1999
FRANKFORT - Donald George Richardson, formerly of St. Clair Shores, and a resident of Frankfort since November 1982, died early Wednesday morning at his residence with his family near him, at the age of 77.
Donald was born Dec. 8, 1922, in Detroit, the son of Arthur J. and Mable (Ryan) Richardson. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Joyce Miner on Aug. 31, 1951 at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Harsens Island.
Donald had served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was employed with Detroit Edison for 32 years in the customer accounts department, retiring in the early 1980's. He always lent a helping hand whenever it was needed as a little league coach and even the campfire girls when they had their candy sales. Although he enjoyed helping others, what was most important to him was his family.
Donald is survived by his wife, Jackie, of Frankfort; daughters, Julie (Gary) Castro and Janet Kimbler - both of St. George, Utah; sister, Virginia Lahodny of Marine City; sister-in-law, Alice Richardson; grandchildren, Darin (Marcie) Kimbler, Kara Kimbler and Amy Kimbler; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces, Deborah Lahodny, Leslie and nephew Larry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Arthur J. Richardson, Jr. and Patrick Richardson in infancy.
Private family services will be held with burial in the Gilmore Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy in memory of Donald may wish to consider the Grand Traverse Area Hospice, 1105 6th Street, Traverse City, MI 49684.

David Weddle
Died December 14, 1999
HILLSDALE - David Weddle, 29, of Hillsdale, died Tuesday in Jackson.
Born April 2, 1970, in Pontiac, he was the son of Alan Weddle of Connecticut and Sherry Weddle (Bob Hesselgrave) of Traverse City.
David worked in floor covering. He loved spending time with his son and enjoyed the water and riding motorcycles. David was a free spirit who loved life. He will be missed very much. The Lord has taken him home.
He is survived by a son, Cory Thomtson of Waterford; his parents; a sister, Tracy (Mike) Smart, his brother, Bryan; a niece, Breanna Weddle; a nephew, Cody Smart - all of Traverse City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Willard Bain of Pontiac and Owen Weddle of Pontiac; and grandmother, Angelique Weddle of Florida.
There will be a private viewing at 7 p.m. today at Van Horn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his son, Corey Weddle.
