CLEO E. ASHLEY, 71, of Frankfort, died Thursday evening, Nov. 4, 1999, at St. Johns Hospital in Detroit.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Perry Chapel, McElduff Funeral Home of Benzonia. A complete obituary will appear in Sunday's edition of the Record-Eagle.
HELEN G. HERMANN, 79,.of Lake Leelanau, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Arrangements are pending at Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay.
DONNA JEAN MILLER, 52, of Traverse City, died early Friday morning, Nov. 5, 1999, at her home following a sudden illness.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home of Traverse City. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday at Faith Reformed Church. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. A complete obituary will appear in Sunday's edition of the Record-Eagle.
MYLES P. MURPHY, 78, of Traverse City, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Grand Traverse Pavilions.

Muriel D. Brack
Died November 3, 1999
MT. DORA, Fla. - Muriel D. Brack, 90, of Mt. Dora and formerly of Traverse City, Mich., went home to be with the Lord Wednesday following major surgery at the Florida Hospital-Waterman in Eustis, Fla.
Born Nov. 25, 1908, in Traverse City, she was the daughter of James and Maud Stables. In 1932 she married Clarence W. Tousley, who passed away in 1950. She married John L. Brack in 1952. He preceded her in death in 1991.
Muriel is survived by three sons, John (Barbara) Tousley of Mt. Pleasant, Paul (Nancy) Tousley of Northville and Gary (Lyn) Tousley of Farmington; three stepsons, John (Paulette) Brack, Jr. of Oakton, Va., James (Judy) Brack of South Haven and Fred Brack; a sister, Violet Carey of Collins, Ohio; a brother, Ed Stables of Imlay City; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Ransom and Charlotte Baker; and a brother, William Stables.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hibbard Funeral and Cremation Service in Traverse City with her grandson, Rev. John Tousley, officiating. Family and friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Central United Methodist Church.
Martha E. Taylor
Died November 3, 1999
LUDINGTON - Martha E. Taylor, 49, of Ludington, died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday.
Born Feb. 22, 1950, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of John E. and Lizzie Mae (Kreigh) Knudsen. On Dec. 20, 1996, she married Leslie Taylor.
"Marti" graduated from Benzie High School and received a degree in general secretarial from West Shore Community College. She worked for a number of years at Straits Steel and Wire. She more recently enjoyed working aboard the S.S. Badger. Marti also worked for Midas as a secretary and for Holt Public Schools as a teacher's aide. She enjoyed the special times spent with her grandchildren, being outdoors and deer hunting. She was a member of the Washington Avenue Baptist Church of Ludington.
She is survived by her husband; mother, Lizzie Knudsen of Empire; two sons, Tyrone T. (Jennifer) Collins of Ludington and Richard Lee Collins II of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Annette (Terry) Stewart of Wisconsin, Patricia (Barry) Wickham and Jeannette (Richard) Jones - both of Empire; brother, Stanley Knudsen of Montana; two grandsons, Blake Robert and Jared Tyrone Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Knudsen Grandstaff.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Dorrell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Carlson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Barbara Jo Thumm
Died November 4, 1999
BELLAIRE - Barbara Jo Thumm, 76, of Bellaire, died Thursday at her home.
Born Sept. 11, 1923, in Petoskey, she was the daughter of Jacob and Nora (Coffin) Thumm.
Barbara Jo was a graduate of Bellaire High School and received nurses training from Central Michigan University and Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, becoming a registered nurse. She practiced with the Mt. Pleasant Community Hospital for a short time and then returned to Bellaire where she worked with Dr. John Rodger for over 32 years. She then worked for Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility for many years until retirement. Barbara Jo was a member of the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church.
She is survived by several cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Bellaire Community United Methodist Church with James Rodger officiating. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Munson Hospice or the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church Furnace Fund.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
