SHIRLEY M. BARTON, of Warren and formerly of Manistee, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, in Warren.
      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Johnson Funeral Home in Manistee.
     
      VERBIA F. GOORHOUSE, 80, of Benzonia, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at her home.
      Funeral arrangements are pending at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home of Beulah.
     
      JOYE W. MATHEWS, 72, of Grayling, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at home. She was born July 21, 1927, in Detroit.
      Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. today at Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel in Grayling. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling.
     
      WALTER K. NELSON, 85, of Manistee, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at his home.
      Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with an evening prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday at the Hebert Funeral Home in Manistee. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Manistee. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, also in Manistee.
     
      LARRY 'JACK' PATTON, 50, of Mancelona, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at his home.
      The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Paullin-Penzien Funeral Home in Mancelona. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
     
      LORAMER 'TROCK' TROCHELMAN, 80, of Bellaire, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. Trock was born May 25, 1919.
      An Open House Remembrance will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the home of William Zear, 115 Ann St., Bellaire. Arrangements were handled by Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
     
      JUNE PHYLLIS WEST, 79, of Johannesburg, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999. She was born June 13, 1920, in Detroit.
      A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Baptist Church. Arrangements were handled by Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel in Grayling.
     
      Danniel C. Gardner
      Died October 16, 1999
      GRANT - Danniel C. Gardner, 4, of Grant, died Saturday due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
      Born Oct. 25, 1994, in Traverse City, he was the son of Michael C. and Stephanie D. (Schmidtendorff) Gardner. Formerly of Traverse City, Danniel lived in Grant for the past two months.
      He is survived by his parents; grandparents; great-grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
      Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. A private family graveside service will be held in Peeks Cemetery in Constantine. Burial will be in Peeks Cemetery.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to Child and Family Services of Traverse City or to the Gardner Family c/o Stephanie Gardner, 11852 Fitzgerald, Grant, MI 49327.
     
      Carolyn M. Holtrey
      Died October 17, 1999
      ANN ARBOR - Carolyn M. Holtrey, 65, of Ann Arbor and formerly of Frankfort, died Sunday at her home.
      Born Dec. 3, 1933, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of Nelson and Karolina (Soucek) Holtrey. She was employed by Parke-Davis in Ann Arbor.
      She is survived by her mother; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Frankfort Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes. Friends may call from noon until the time of service.
     
      Marcella M. McKune
      Died October 19, 1999
      CENTRAL LAKE - Marcella M. McKune, 81, of Central Lake, died Tuesday at her home.
      Born March 23, 1918, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Frank and Auguste (Lange) Hermenau. On Feb. 20, 1956, in Detroit, she married Wilbur McKune. They made their home in Detroit until 1968 when they moved to Central Lake. Wilbur died in 1998.
      Marcella was employed at Chrysler Corporation in Detroit for many years. In Central Lake, she was an active member of VFW Auxiliary Torch Post No. 8985. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Central Lake.
      She is survived by a daughter, Gwendolyn Hermenau of Rapid City; a sister-in-law, Rose Hermenau of Florence, Wis.; and nieces and nephews.
      Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Community Church in Central Lake with Rev. Estel A. Clark officiating. Burial will be in Southern Cemetery.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to American Heart Association or the VFW Auxiliary Torch Post No. 8985 in Central Lake.
     
      Margaret Sivek
      Died October 3, 1999
      DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Margaret Sivek, 98, of Daytona Beach, died Sunday, Oct. 3.
      Margaret was a longtime resident of Traverse City prior to moving to Florida in 1975. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing for her family and friends and she was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church.
      She is survived by four daughters, Patricia (Robert) Gilmore and Phyllis (Kenneth) McDonald - both of Daytona Beach, Victoria (Frank) Casurella of Atlanta, Ga. and Barbara (Justin) Livingston of Reno, Nev.; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B; and a son, Thomas S. Sivek.
      A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Megee officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Catholic Cemetery.
      Arrangements were handled by Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
